Role Overview Description

Overview

SoHo Dragon is seeking an experienced Java Developer who will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust Java applications and services. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Java development with proficiency in Spring Boot, Spring, Microservices, and Hibernate. This role is essential in enhancing our current software offerings and implementing innovative solutions to meet client needs.

Responsibilities

Application Development

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java applications and microservices using Spring Boot and Spring frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and deliver high-quality software solutions that meet business objectives.

Code Quality and Best Practices

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while following best practices in software development.
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality across the team.

Integration and Deployment

• Implement and manage integration with various external services and applications.
• Facilitate continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices to streamline deployments.

Debugging and Troubleshooting

• Identify and resolve technical issues efficiently while ensuring minimal service interruptions.
• Monitor applications performance and apply optimizations as needed.

Documentation

• Document application designs, functionalities, and learning materials to assist team members and facilitate knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6 to 9 years of professional Java development experience, with a strong focus on Java, Spring Boot, Spring, Microservices, and Hibernate.
• Good to have: Experience with Java 8 features and enhancements.
• Solid understanding of RESTful services and API design principles.
• Proficient in building applications adhering to design patterns.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a collaborative environment.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.

Work Environment

This position requires working during the hours of 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM IST (Asia/Kolkata Time Zone). The candidate must be located in India. While the hiring manager can be based globally, it is essential that the Java Developer collaborates effectively with the team in India.
