Quality Assurance Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Write clear, concise, and well-documented test cases for various functionalities across different platforms and devices (manual testing)
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans based on the written test cases
• Identify, document, and report software defects using a bug tracking system
• Analyse and diagnose the root cause of defects to ensure efficient resolution
• Participate in code reviews to identify potential issues from a testing perspective (if applicable)
• Collaborate effectively with developers and other stakeholders to ensure timely resolution of defects and product improvement
• Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionalities are not impacted by new developments
• Stay up-to-date on the latest testing methodologies and tools (bonus if familiar with automation frameworks)
• Continuously improve testing processes and contribute to the development of a robust QA strategy (bonus)

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years of experience in manual software testing
• Experience with various testing methodologies (e.g., white-box testing, black-box testing, exploratory testing)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A keen eye for detail and a passion for quality
• Proficiency in using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira)

Bonus Points:

• Experience with automation testing frameworks (e.g., TestNG, Restassured, Postman, Appium)
• Experience with testing APIs
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies
