Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Manager - IT Asset & License Management to lead our organization's IT asset management strategy. The ideal candidate will have 7-10 years of experience in managing IT assets and software licenses, with expertise in procurement, licensing compliance, and vendor negotiations. The Manager will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of IT assets and licenses, ensuring compliance, optimizing software usage, and managing costs.
This role requires strong technical skills, a deep understanding of inventory management tools (e.g., CMDB, ITAM tools), and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders across departments. You will be a key part of the IT operations team, ensuring all IT assets are tracked, managed, and compliant with relevant policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
● IT Asset and License Management:
○ Lead the IT asset management lifecycle, including procurement, tracking, maintenance, and disposal of IT assets (hardware and software).
○ Manage and oversee software licensing, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements and applicable laws.
○ Maintain a centralized IT asset database and ensure all assets are accounted for and updated regularly.
○ Conduct audits and assessments to ensure accurate asset and license records.
● IT Procurement and Vendor Management:
○ Work closely with procurement teams to manage IT purchasing processes, ensuring cost-effective sourcing of hardware, software, and services.
○ Negotiate contracts and licensing agreements with vendors and suppliers to ensure favorable terms and compliance.
○ Track and manage software renewals, and ensure timely purchasing and licensing compliance.
● CMDB and Inventory Tools:
○ Utilize IT asset management tools (e.g., CMDB, ITAM software) to track, report, and analyze asset data and software license usage.
○ Ensure accurate data input into configuration management databases (CMDB) and collaborate with other teams to keep records up-to-date.
● License Compliance and Optimization:
○ Develop and implement software license management policies to optimize license usage and prevent overspending or non-compliance risks.
○ Review and reconcile software license usage, ensuring compliance with license agreements, and identify opportunities to reduce software costs.
● Reporting and Analysis:
○ Prepare regular reports on IT asset and software license inventory, utilization, and cost analysis for management review.
○ Provide recommendations to reduce inefficiencies and improve asset management practices.

Key Skills and qualifications
○ Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
○ 7-10 years of experience in IT asset management, software license management, or IT procurement.
○ Hands-on experience with IT asset management (ITAM) tools and configuration management databases (CMDB).
○ Solid background in software license compliance, contract management, and negotiation.
○ Experience with IT procurement processes and managing vendor relationships.
