Job Overview:

UPC Renewables India Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced and skilled Civil Designer to join our dynamic team. The Civil Designer will be responsible for designing and preparing civil engineering drawings for renewable energy projects, such as wind, solar, and other infrastructure projects. This role requires a high level of proficiency in civil design, site evaluation, and project management, along with a strong understanding of industry standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed civil designs and layouts for renewable energy projects, including site grading, drainage, roads, foundations, and structures.
• Prepare technical drawings, blueprints, and 3D models using CAD software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.).
• Conduct site evaluations and assess site conditions, including topography, geotechnical data, and environmental considerations.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure designs are feasible and meet project specifications.
• Prepare design calculations, reports, and technical documentation as required.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national standards, codes, and regulations.
• Review and revise design plans as needed to ensure accuracy and cost-effectiveness.
• Participate in project coordination meetings and communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Assist in cost estimation and resource planning for civil design aspects of projects.
• Perform quality assurance and quality control checks on all designs and deliverables.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers and engineering teams.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Education: B.Tech/M.Tech in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience: 6-10 years of experience in civil design, preferably in renewable energy (solar, wind) or infrastructure projects.
• Expertise in design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant tools.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and codes.
• Experience in designing civil infrastructure like roads, drainage, foundations, and other related systems.
• Familiarity with geotechnical, environmental, and survey data analysis.
• Understanding of project management processes and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical details clearly.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of renewable energy industry standards and best practices is a plus.
