Quality Engineer

Preferred Industry

•      Primarily from Gypsum powder/board manufacturing, Cement plants, Large Tiles manufacturing, Large Paper / Packaging manufacturing, Process plants manufacturing

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directly Responsible for

•      Conducting thorough and accurate testing of incoming raw materials including gypsum and paper materials to ensure compliance with quality standards

•      In process and FG quality checking for final product conformity as per stipulated standards

•      Utilize hands-on experience with UTM machines to perform necessary mechanical and physical property tests.

•      Execute in-process audits to monitor and verify that manufacturing processes are adhering to quality.

•      Investigate and identify root causes of quality issues by performing root cause analysis and resolving problems

•      Implement corrective actions to prevent the recurrence of identified issues.

•      Conduct dock audits to ensure incoming materials meet specified requirements and standards.

•      Set up and maintain an efficient and well-equipped Quality Control laboratory.

•      Manage and maintain comprehensive documentation, including First Piece Inspection Reports, In-process Inspection Reports, Final Inspection Reports, Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Reports, and Quality Assurance Plans.

•      Implementation of Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001)

•      Ensure all testing equipment is calibrated and in working order.

•      Implementation of standard testing procedures, and applicable national & international testing standards for maintaining & conforming quality of the final product

•      Collaborate with production teams to facilitate the approval of first-off samples.

•      Ensure that first-off samples meet specified quality criteria before mass production.

•      Participate in cross-functional teams in the development of new products or changes related to current products to meet customer requirements

He Shall

•      Have In-depth knowledge of product & processes he is exposed to

•      Have Knowledge of Steel, Aluminium, Cement, Gypsum or similar product & processing shall be desirable

•      Have Hands On experience to Continuous Improvement Environment (TPM/WCM/Six Sigma)

•     Coordinate for quality-related issues within the manufacturing team (e.g. internal, supplier, customer and customer warranty)

•      Be developing and implementing quality standards and quality control systems.

•      Ensure product quality control plans and associated documentation to implemented effectively and maintained in line with QMS and other applicable standards

•      Report on quality-related key performance indicators non-conformity, rejection, rework & set proper system to control the same with complete documentation

•      Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in order to adhere to process and prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process or system

•      Plan and implement techniques for continuous improvement such as Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), and Measurement System Analysis

•      Participate in cross-functional teams in the development of new products or changes related to current products in meeting customer requirements

•      Participate in the development and refinement of Design and Process FMEAs (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)

•      Identify root cause and instigate permanent corrective actions for product quality issues

•      Carry out product and process auditing

REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Skills:

•      Knowledge of quality management & product specific standards & systems applicable to the industry he is working with

•      Knowledge of Statistical quality control, Six Sigma & relevant tools, and Good Manufacturing Practices

•      Independent, Assertive, and positive mindset

•      Strong communication, presentation, and people management skills

•      Should be able to work independently with minimal supervision
