Devops Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Google Cloud Platform (GCP) DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our infrastructure and operations group, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our GCP-based applications and services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Scripting and Automation: Writing Python scripts for automating repetitive tasks, creating tools, and integrating different DevOps tools and services.
• Infrastructure as Code (IAC): Writing and maintaining scripts to automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform.
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions to automate the software delivery process.
• Version Control: Using version control systems like Git to manage and track changes to code and configuration files.
• Monitoring and Logging: Setting up monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) to monitor system health and performance.
• Containerization: Working with containerization technologies like Docker to package and deploy applications in isolated environments.
• Cloud Services: Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to deploy and manage applications and infrastructure.
• Collaboration: Collaborating with development and operations teams to streamline the development process and improve deployment frequency and reliability.
• Security: Understanding basic security principles and implementing best practices to ensure the security of infrastructure and applications.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving infrastructure and deployment issues to ensure smooth and uninterrupted service.
• Documentation: Documenting processes, procedures, and best practices to maintain a knowledge base and facilitate knowledge sharing among team members.
