Civil Manager - Electric Vehicle (EV) Project

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Manager for our Electric Vehicle (EV) project. The ideal candidate will oversee and manage the civil engineering aspects of the project, ensuring that all infrastructure development, construction, and installation meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and project timelines. This position requires expertise in civil and mechanical work, industrial projects, and a strong understanding of relevant IS codes, as well as familiarity with electric vehicle infrastructure requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning & Management: Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of civil works for the EV project, ensuring timely completion within budget and adhering to all design and regulatory requirements.
• IS Codes Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant Indian Standards (IS) codes for civil works, including the design and construction of roads, buildings, and other infrastructure components.
• Design & Drafting: Utilize AutoCAD and other drafting tools to create detailed drawings and layouts for construction projects, including roads, buildings, and other infrastructure needed for the EV project.
• BOM & BOQ Preparation: Prepare and review the Bill of Materials (BOM) and Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for civil works, ensuring accurate estimations and cost control throughout the project.
• Quality Control: Implement quality assurance practices across all civil works, ensuring that materials and construction meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations.
• Surveying & Site Management: Conduct site surveys and provide technical guidance on building, road construction, and other civil works required for the project. Supervise and manage field teams to ensure accurate execution.
• Mechanical Work Knowledge: Oversee mechanical installations related to EV infrastructure, ensuring compatibility with civil works and project requirements.
• Collaboration & Coordination: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical, mechanical, and project management teams, to integrate civil works with other components of the EV project.
• Industrial Work Oversight: Manage and supervise industrial work related to infrastructure, including facilities, utilities, and other EV project requirements.
• Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance: Ensure all civil works comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations, providing a safe working environment for all team members.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of all civil work activities, including progress reports, compliance documentation, and final project deliverables.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• In-depth knowledge of IS codes related to civil engineering and construction.
• Proven experience in civil engineering management for industrial projects, with a focus on EV infrastructure.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design/drafting software.
• Strong understanding of BOM and BOQ preparation and management.
• Solid background in surveying, construction, roadwork, and building design and execution.
• Familiarity with mechanical work processes and standards relevant to electric vehicle projects.
• Knowledge of Ericsson infrastructure requirements for industrial and telecom-based projects is a plus.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to coordinate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on industrial and infrastructure projects, preferably in the electric vehicle or automotive sectors.
• Previous experience managing multidisciplinary teams and large-scale projects is highly preferred
