Officer Indirect Procurement

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee the purchasing of MRO, lab consumables, chemicals, engineering spares, professional services, and other indirect goods and services.
• Plan and execute procurement strategies for indirect goods and services based on site requirements, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints.
• Coordinate with the Indirect Procurement team to align with key objectives, including cost control, supplier relationship development and management, encourage innovation, and meeting purchasing KPIs.
• Ensure timely conversion of PR to PO, maintaining the Turnaround Time (TAT) within acceptable limits.
• Manage material deliveries to ensure on-time, in-full performance (OTIF-90%)
• Monitor and track the timely booking of GRN and invoices to facilitate on time payment processing.
• Develop an efficient and accurate system to monitor all open Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO).
• Review user requirements and apply effective procurement techniques to achieve cost savings.
• Conduct market research, competitor analysis, spend analysis, and volume consolidation to secure the right price.
• Develop alternative vendors and products to achieve cost savings, quality and process improvements.
• Monitor and reduce downtimes caused by shortages of indirect materials.
• Collaborate with other category managers and support the indirect procurement teams across other sites effectively.
• Adhere to the procurement policy and ensure all related documentation (PRs, quotes, comparisons, approvals, etc.) are properly maintained.
• Provide timely reporting of MIS and other relevant data as required by management.
• Keep accurate and updated records of purchased products, delivery details, and invoices.

KEY SKILLS and COMPETENCIES

• Experience in indirect procurement department in a reputed pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience of SAP.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding, timeline-driven environment
• Proven ability to manage multiple user requirements at a time
• Self-starter and ability to work autonomously
• Innovative mindset to provide immediate alternative solutions to stakeholders
• Consumption/spend Data Analytics.
