Indirect Procurement

Role Overview

The Indirect Sourcing Specialist is responsible for designing and executing strategies to effectively procure indirect goods and services essential to the organization. This role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders, proactive management of supplier relationships, and a focus on driving cost-saving initiatives.

Note: Candidate having experience into MRO, maintenance, spares, utility, consumables, packaging, packing materials, cartons will be preferred. The candidates should be from manufacturing background.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive indirect sourcing strategy aligned with the organization's objectives.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for indirect goods and services, focusing on quality, price, delivery, and supplier capabilities.
• Negotiate and establish contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favourable terms.
• Partner with internal departments, including finance, operations, and legal, to understand requirements and ensure procurement meets organizational needs.
• Lead cross-functional teams to improve processes, identify cost reduction opportunities, and implement sourcing best practices.
• Monitor supplier performance through evaluations and implement corrective actions when necessary to maintain quality, service, and delivery standards.
• Stay updated on market trends, industry developments, and emerging technologies to identify risks and opportunities in the sourcing landscape.
• Oversee the procurement, tracking, and disposal of scrap materials, ensuring compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
• Develop strategies for efficient scrap utilization and cost optimization.
• Build and maintain relationships with scrap buyers and recycling partners to maximize returns and minimize waste.
• Manage relationships with stakeholders and provide regular updates on sourcing activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the sourcing team.

What are we looking for

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
• 6-10years of experience in procurement, or a related field.
• Proven experience in strategic sourcing and procurement, with a focus on indirect goods and services. Previous experience in a leadership role is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and techniques, including contract negotiation, supplier management, and cost analysis.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop data-driven strategies and make informed decisions.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Proficiency in using procurement software and tools for data analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations, compliance standards, and industry best practices.
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Exp: 6-10yrs

Qualification: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.

Working Days: Monday to Saturday (One Saturday off)
