Business Development Manager

We are hiring for a key role in our SBU sales team in Mumbai with national exposure for our flagship product vertical – Eye Wash & Safety Shower, where we are undisputed market leaders.

Position Title: Business Development Manager

Department:Sale and Marketing

Location: Dadar, Mumbai

Reports To: SBU Head

Job Responsibilities

• Achieving sales targets and a weekly and monthly report is to be submitted to the SBU Head
• Providing technical and tactical support to the sales teams across India
• Creating awareness and building the brand with new and existing customers during business presentations
• New business Development via prospecting, qualifying, selling and closing.
• Identify major contracts and tenders for quoting offers for major clients with appropriate details
• Responsible for giving product demos and training sales team to give demos
• Assist sales teams to make complex non-standard quotes
• Manage client relationships through all phases of the sales cycle
• Follow up on outstanding payments
• Participate in development and execution of business plan
• Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments
• Have full and accurate awareness of the competition, their strength, weakness, sales and market. A report as necessary shall be sent to SBU Head
• Provide market insights and recommendations to inform business development strategies
• Coordinate with customer service department for meeting customer delivery requirements
• Ensure the confidentiality of the customer list, mailing lists and other sensitive company information.
• Prepare a travel plan and seek approval from SBU Head, to ensure pan India coverage
• Ensure seamless coordination and cost optimization in travel, accommodation, rental and events/ conferences

Desired Candidate Profile

• BE (Mechanical); MBA will be added advantage
• 8-10 years Industrial Product Sales experience across India
• Must be able to demonstrate sales record (5+years) at a high level of achievement
• Working knowledge of MS office, PPT presentations a must.
• Strategic thinking and problem solving abilities
• Analytical and decision making skills
• Excellent Sales skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
