Job Title : Quality Assurance Lead

Relevant Experience : 8+ years

Location : Chennai (WFO)

- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of testers, including both manual and automation testers.

- Develop and implement testing strategies, plans, and processes.

- Coordinate and manage testing activities across multiple projects, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.

- Conduct regular team meetings and provide guidance to ensure optimal performance.

- Collaboration with the team and with other departments.

- Define, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases.

- Oversee the creation and maintenance of test documentation, including test scripts, test data, and test environments.

- Ensure thorough testing of all deliverables, identifying and documenting defects and issues.

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium frameworks.

- Conduct manual testing when necessary to ensure thorough coverage of test scenarios.

- Continuously evaluate and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of test automation and manual testing processes.

- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in testing methodologies and tools.

- Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices throughout the testing lifecycle.

- Perform root cause analysis of defects and work with development teams to implement solutions.

- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on quality and testability.

- Track and report on key quality metrics and testing progress.

- Work closely with development, product management, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide feedback.

- Communicate test results, progress, and issues to stakeholders clearly and effectively.

- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate testing into the CI/CD pipeline.

- Provide training and support to team members and stakeholders on testing best practices.

- Proficiency with Popular Test Management Tools :

1. JIRA : Expertise in using JIRA for test case management, defect tracking, and project management. Familiarity with JIRA plugins for enhanced test management capabilities.

2. TestRail : Proficient in using TestRail for test planning, execution, and reporting.

- Experience in integrating TestRail with other tools like JIRA, Selenium, or Jenkins.

Education & Experience :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- 8+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years in a lead or senior role.

- Proven experience with both manual and automated testing techniques and tools.

- Experience in leading and managing a team of testers.

Technical Skills :

- Proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium or similar.

- Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.

- Experience with test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar.

- Familiarity with CI/CD tools

- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
