Role Overview :

As a Principal Backend Engineer, you will architect and deliver scalable backend systems that power our learning ecosystem. You'll lead technical innovation, mentor engineering teams, and ensure seamless integration of new features.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect, design, and implement highly scalable, secure, and reliable backend systems.

- Drive end-to-end system design decisions, ensuring performance and scalability.

- Collaborate with product, design, and frontend teams to deliver seamless user experiences.

- Lead code reviews, establish best practices and mentor engineers.

- Proactively identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and technical challenges.

- Stay updated with emerging technologies and advocate for their adoption where relevant.

Qualifications :

- 7+ years of experience in backend development, with expertise in languages like Java, Go, Python, or Node.js.

- Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems.

- Expertise in databases (SQL/NoSQL) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

- Proven ability to scale backend systems for millions of users.

- Experience in leading and mentoring high-performing engineering teams.

- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
