Chief Operating Officer (COO) Real Estate Division

Role & responsibilities

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a senior executive responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational functions of the real estate business. The COO will work closely with the Chairman to develop and implement strategic initiatives, ensure smooth execution of real estate projects, and drive operational excellence across all departments. This role focuses on enhancing efficiency, maximizing profitability, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.

Preferred candidate profile

Operational Leadership:

• Oversee and manage daily operations across multiple functions, including property development, asset management marketing strategy, sales, leasing, and property management.
• Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness in real estate operations.
• Collaborate with the CEO in setting and driving the companys vision and strategic initiatives for growth.
• Monitor industry trends and competitor activities, identifying opportunities for the company to improve its competitive advantage.
• Demonstrate skill set to eventually run the real estate vertical independently

Project Management:

• Oversee the end-to-end execution of real estate projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Collaborate with project management teams to ensure proper resource allocation, risk management, and project tracking.
• Manage relationships with external contractors, vendors, and other service providers involved in construction and development.

Financial Management:

• Work closely with the CFO to prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
• Ensure operational activities are aligned with the companys financial goals and profitability targets.
• Monitor financial performance metrics such as revenue, cost control, and return on investment for real estate projects.
• Drive cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality and service delivery.

Team Leadership & Development:

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team, including heads of departments (sales, leasing, property management, etc.).
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and performance excellence across all operational teams.
• Ensure continuous professional development of key staff and the successful succession planning within the operations department.

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to property development, transactions, and operations.
• Identify and mitigate operational risks related to real estate projects, ensuring all necessary due diligence and risk management practices are in place.
• Implement health, safety, and environmental protocols across all real estate projects and assets.

Customer Relationship Management:

• Oversee customer service operations, ensuring a high level of client satisfaction in property sales, leasing, and management.
• Work closely with marketing and sales teams to ensure alignment with customer expectations and brand positioning.
• Address escalated customer issues and ensure quick resolution to maintain strong client relationships.
