IB Operations - Middle Office Specialist

- Ensure Completeness, Accuracy and Timeliness ("CAT") requirements Data Integrity controls and creation and amendment of both listed and non-listed instruments based on the instructions from Trading desks, also the associated reporting activities, and ensuring appropriate escalation of items.
- Ensuring instruments closing marks are in line with MDS systems like BBG and Reuters in the system across assets classes and mark amendments wherever required.
- Work with both Internal and External data vendors i.e BBG & Reuters to get the accurate and timely instrument data in the system.
- Process Corporate action static changes in the system.
- Collaborate with IT and change team to automate and streamline the instrument autocreation process.
- Work with other MO as well as Trading desk teams to properly address issues raised.
- Actively and continually provide ideas and execute on process improvements in the exception management and data quality of submission to clients.
- Be the subject matter expert in all team activities and support teams and peripheral stakeholders.
- Project Management activities - assisting with end to end support around IMO initiatives including conducting initial impact analysis, tracking for deliverables and following up with management and IMO staff.
- Take ownership of tracking, updating issue and action logs. While based full time in Hyderabad / Pune, youll be working in a global team responsible for functions supporting IB Middle Office. In our collaborative culture, the team works closely with a number of other teams to ensure UBSs obligations are met. - Minimum Bachelor degree with minimum 2-4 years of experience in instrument reference data and pricing
- Strong knowledge on Financial market concepts and instruments like Equities, Index and Derivatives etc
- Should have good understanding of Index and ETF compositions
- Fluency in reading and writing business e-mails (English qualification will be considered)
- Adequacy in communicating via oral English, both in person and remotely
- Adequate knowledge of Windows, Microsoft office suite (especially Excel pivots), and communication tool (i.e. Teams)
- A track record of delivery
- Experience in operational risk and controls/ operation in the financial service industry would be a plus
- Escalation awareness would be a plus
- VBA / any automation tool knowledge specially Alteryx is a plus.
