Job Description: PCB Repair Engineer

Position: PCB Repair Engineer
Location: Hirehalli, Tumkur
Department: Quality/Production/Service

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair PCBs to ensure functionality and performance meet required standards.
• Perform rework and soldering operations on PCBs using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Identify and replace faulty components on PCBs with precision and accuracy.
• Troubleshoot PCB-related issues and propose effective solutions.
• Maintain and adhere to quality standards during the repair and rework processes.
• Collaborate with quality and production teams to address and resolve PCB defects.
• Document repair and rework activities for record-keeping and reporting.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of PCB repair and rework techniques.
• Proficiency in soldering (including fine-pitch and surface-mount components).
• In-depth understanding of electronic components and their functionality.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools like multimeters, oscilloscopes, and soldering stations.
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electronics or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in PCB repair or a similar role.

Additional Skills:

• Attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and PCB layouts.
• Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) handling procedures.
