Need for the role
Tvisva Jewels is planning for exponential growth in its business and aims to expand its retail store operations in multiple cities in Punjab. The organization is actively exploring new areas of growth in Lab grown diamonds and Silver Jewelry segments. To strategize and capitalize on upcoming growth opportunities, Tvisva Jewels seeks to onboard an experienced professional as the Business Head. This newly created role will report directly to the Managing Director and will be responsible for expansion into new geographies and enhancement of current operations.
Role Summary
The Business Head will play a leadership role to achieve the company’s long-term vision. The Business Head will be responsible for driving retail store growth, expansion of retail footprint across geographies, obtaining and evaluating information about industry and market trends etc. The ideal candidate should come with a strong sense of ownership, should be able to function effectively with minimum supervision, and have the calibre to work with Board and Management members. He should possess strong program management skills to effectively strategize and deliver the necessary initiatives.
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Formulates long term business strategic plans, with clear understanding of the market trends (including customer needs and competitor offerings) to achieve the desired growth in the market
2. Identifies and formulates the necessary projects and initiatives to drive growth and achieve desired outcomes. These initiatives will focus on both enhancing current business operations and expanding stores into new geographies
3. Brings operational support to deliver operational growth by expanding the footprint of stores in major pockets of growth in Punjab e.g. Bathinda, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Chandigarh etc.
4. Identify business threats, look for strategic solutions and develop creative action plan
5. Analyze and evaluate various reports on financial forecasting, competitive intelligence analysis etc.
6. To hire, train and manage store team across geographies to set up and drive business growth with a long term perspective
Qualifications and Experience
1. Post graduation from a Tier 2/ Tier3 B-school
2. The candidate should have at least 15-18 years of operating experience in a leadership role preferably in retail oriented sectors. Good to have - Some experience of working in a promoter driven company.
3. Someone who has demonstrated ability to lead strategic efforts involving fundamental changes to the business, with expertise in change management.

5. The candidate must be a self-motivated team player who can communicate with, and relate to, people at all levels within the organization
6. Must exhibit a high level of enthusiasm, with a “hands-on style” and a strong work ethic with the capability to adapt to different working environments
