Job Description

Job Description:

TUV SUD South Asia is seeking an experienced and dynamic Deputy General Manager (DGM) - Quality Assurance to lead and oversee quality assurance initiatives within our Industrial Services (IS) division. This role will involve designing, implementing, and maintaining quality management programs to ensure world-class services and compliance with industry-leading accreditation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Quality Management Program Design & Implementation: Develop and implement comprehensive quality management programs across all system areas necessary for certifications and accreditations, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  2. Service Quality Assurance: Oversee quality assurance processes for services delivered within the Industrial Services (IS) division, ensuring they meet TUV SUDs standards and industry best practices.
  3. System Design & Documentation: Design, document, and continuously improve quality systems, processes, and related documentation to ensure robust quality control.
  4. Quality System Harmonization: Standardize and deploy quality initiatives across different business units (BUs) within the IS division to ensure alignment and consistency.
  5. Management Information Systems (MIS): Prepare and present quality metrics, analysis, and reports to senior management to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
  6. Technology & Knowledge Transfer: Introduce cutting-edge technology advancements and ensure knowledge transfer specific to quality assurance practices across IS business units.
  7. Training & Education: Develop and lead training programs for TUV SUD employees, ensuring they are well-versed in quality assurance principles, processes, and standards.
  8. Data Analysis & Process Improvement: Analyze quality data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for process optimization, driving continuous quality improvement initiatives.
  9. Leadership in Quality Assurance: Lead the maintenance of accreditations, quality control processes, quality documentation, auditing, customer complaint management, problem resolution, risk assessments, and compliance activities.
  10. Collaboration Across Teams: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure a holistic and integrated approach to quality across all departments and business functions.
  11. Audit Management: Conduct and lead internal and external audits as required to ensure compliance with applicable quality standards and regulations.
  12. Quality Process Development: Continuously develop, refine, and maintain quality processes within the IS division, ensuring high performance and compliance with industry standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: 8 to 12 years of experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control, with significant exposure at the Head or Senior Manager level in the Industrial Services (IS) sector, including quality services, third-party inspections, vendor management, and process improvement.
  • Technical Expertise: Hands-on experience in ISO 9001, ISO 17020 system implementation and maintenance.
  • Industry Expertise: In-depth experience with certification bodies, TPIA (Third-Party Inspection Agencies), and industrial services in sectors such as chemical, oil, gas, renewable energy, wind, etc.
  • Team Leadership: Proven track record of managing and leading teams effectively to achieve quality objectives.

Additional Skills & Competencies:

  • Fundamental Competencies:
    • Strong understanding of Quality Management principles, systems, and methodologies.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strategic/Operational Competencies:
    • Ability to develop and implement a comprehensive quality strategy aligned with the organization’s goals.
    • Proactive in anticipating industry trends and adapting to emerging challenges.
    • Strong stakeholder management skills, promoting collaboration across departments to ensure the integration of quality initiatives.Role & responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile

  • Certifications:
    • IRCA Certified Lead Auditor for ISO 9001:2015.
    • ISO 17020 Accredited Inspection Body Type A.
    • Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certifications.
  • Education:
    • B.Tech in Engineering.
    • Experience in the TPIA industry is preferred.
