Risk Analyst

Role & responsibilities

Financial Risk Assessment & Mitigation:

• Conduct risk assessments for lending operations and financial transactions.
• Identify, analyze, and evaluate potential financial risks associated with lending practices.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize financial exposure.
• Monitor and evaluate credit risk, operational risk, and market risk factors.
• Lending Operations & Credit Risk Management:
• Develop and maintain risk models to support lending decisions.
• Analyze historical data to forecast potential risks in loan portfolios.
• Work closely with finance and operations teams to ensure sound risk practices.
• Recommend policy improvements based on risk assessment findings.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

• Prepare detailed risk reports and present findings to management.
• Utilize financial modeling and risk assessment tools to predict potential losses.
• Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes impacting risk management.
• Assist in designing risk reporting frameworks for continuous monitoring.

Preferred candidate profile

Education: Bachelors/Masters degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field preferably from Tier-1/2 institute.

• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in financial risk analysis within the automobile sector.
• 3+ years of experience in Python and SQL is mandatory.
• Skills:
• Strong understanding of lending risk, credit risk, and financial risk management.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, risk assessment tools, and data analytics.
• Knowledge of statutory regulations, compliance, and risk management frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work with large datasets and draw meaningful insights.
