Senior Back-End Engineer

The engineer will be in charge of leading the conversations about technical design, offering insightful feedback, and influencing architectural choices. The companys digital insurance platform guarantees small businesses, not just at the time of purchase but annually as well, the appropriate coverage for all their insurance needs at the most affordable price. During the Series A round, the company has managed to secure $27mn+ in funding.

Job Responsibilities:

• Execute important choices regarding the platform and technologies while overseeing a group of engineers
• Make a difference in peoples lives by using technological expertise
• Ability to create excellent code and build the tech stacks base
• Work together to comprehend needs and provide superior solutions with product managers, designers, and other engineers
• Follow coding standards and best practices while designing, developing, and maintaining reliable, scalable, and effective code
• Make constant improvements and optimizations to current systems to guarantee their performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Participate actively in hiring procedures, support the development of the engineering team, and cultivate a welcoming and upbeat work environment

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor s/Master s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a back-end engineer
• Extensive experience working with Node.js and TypeScript
• Comprehensive understanding of modern software development techniques and resources
• Extensive experience producing profitable products
• Familiarity with AWS and Docker is desirable
• Thorough understanding of design patterns, best practices, and software architecture
• Possess a great aptitude for problem-solving, including the ability to evaluate intricate technological issues and suggest workable solutions
• Strong technical and non-technical communication abilities, as well as an ability to work well in cross-functional teams
