Back-End Developer

• Address performant Mongoose queries and authorization/route permissions
• Perform business logic implementation and error/exception handling
• Propose conceptual data models for optimal data storage and scalability
• Implement Mongoose data models and API integrations with Google Cloud, Node.js client libraries, and other third-party platforms
• Participate in code reviews with the team and other peer engineers
• Refactor the back-end code for performance, maintainability, and best practices
• Write unit tests for new features; improve test coverage by writing tests for old features
• Provide regular status updates on development progress; participate in daily internal standups
• Break down documented feature requests into specific tasks, provide story point estimates
• Propose technical feature implementations, e.g., evaluate trade-offs (development time, performance, etc.)
• Analyze and decide on using third-party libraries or writing the business logic

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor s/Master s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a back-end developer
• Proficient with Typescript, Node.js, and REST API development frameworks, e.g., Express
• Demonstrable experience with database modeling best practices
• Expertise in MongoDB/Mongoose, Git fundamentals (GitHub) - branches, pull requests, and merge conflicts
• Previous experience with feature implementation in the required tech stack
• Nice to have experience in NestJS, PostgreSQL, and Google Cloud Platform
• Profound skills in auth0, authentication/authorization implementation
• Familiarity with serverless offerings like Functions, Cloud Run
• Prior experience working in distributed agile development teams with multiple team members
