Full-Stack Developer

• To enable client-facing functionality, construct, test, and maintain a set of reliable back-end services and related APIs
• Participate in the creation of front-end services for clients
• Contribute significantly to the creation of data pipelines for the import and transformation of data, ensuring quality at all times
• Drive transformation and implementation efforts arising from the client and server-side architecture strategies by contributing to their strategies
• Join forces with the product, data science, and development teams to enhance and improve our product

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor s/Master s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 5+ years of relevant experience as a full-stack developer
• 5+ years of experience building production-level services with an emphasis on Node.js service development and related development ecosystem
• 3+ years of experience developing client-facing applications with emphasis on react.js and demonstrated knowledge of front-end languages, and libraries
• Strong knowledge of UI/UX designs
• Prior experience developing in a data-centric architecture
• Demonstrable experience connecting internal and external data sources
• Experience constructing and evaluating high-performing queries while accounting for complexities of data in service design
• Experience working in a cloud-based development environment like Node.js
• Experience connecting to and/or leveraging AWS platforms like S3, RDS, ECS, Lambda, and step functions
• Excellent collaboration skills across functional areas, including data science, infrastructure, SW development, and product
• Nice to have some knowledge of geographic data types and online mapping (e.g., Google Maps, Mapbox APIs)
• Prior experience with GIS-enabled data stores (e.g., PostGIS, Snowflake) is desirable
• Experience in Python and familiarity with GIS-related libraries like GeoPandas is nice to have
• Extensive experience developing automated testing infrastructure (e.g., Selenium) is desirable
• Fluent in written and spoken English communication
