Site Reliability Engineer

• Provide large-scale solutions for the hardware needed to run a distributed system
• Give all teams access to automation, tools, and processes to make product teams ship more quickly and safely
• Ensure supportability by developing, installing, running, and adding features to self-service tooling and automation to provide innovative solutions for our infrastructure
• To effectively advance toward a shared objective, actively communicate both with your team and with the rest of the company
• Operate with a clear understanding of expenses and the return on investment in terms of time, implementation, and customer effect to decrease complexity and operational hazards
• To fully comprehend the whybehind a purpose, think beyond the immediate task at hand
• Be open to new ideas, understand other people's perspectives, and show an interest in looking for and building on common ground
• Take part in root-cause analysis and post-mortem conversations to successfully promote changes in operational health over the long run
• Analyze for process inefficiencies and put appropriate fixes in place to quicken execution and lessen manual labor
• Take care of key performance indicator definitions, tracking, monitoring, data gathering and analysis, capacity modeling, and configuration management
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation
• Solve DevOps issues but with a stronger emphasis on proactive maintenance, monitoring, and problem-solving

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor s/Master s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3+ years of relevant experience as a Site Reliability Engineer
• 3+ years of experience working with Linux
• 2+ years of experience working with Ansible/Chef/Puppet/Salt, etc.
• Prolific experience with Linux/Scripting fundamentals and the ability to work with other tools
• Prior experience writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code in Golang, TypeScript, Ruby, and C#
• Extensive experience designing, developing, deploying, and supporting service-oriented applications
• In-depth domain knowledge in either Kubernetes, Docker, ArgoCD, Backstage, Kafka, Service Discovery (i.e. Consul), AWS, Azure, or Alibaba Cloud (Aliyun)
• Prolific experience working with Linux operating system internals, filesystems, storage technologies, protocols, and networking stack
• Strong knowledge of GitOps tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
• Solid knowledge of system design and the benefits and limitations of various strategies
• Extensive knowledge of developing always-on systems, working with a range of technologies and service layers
• Experience utilizing a data-driven strategy for both short-term wagers and long-term investments
• Solid understanding of Physical (on-prem) server internals, their management, and operation
• Prior experience making substantial, self-driven contributions to important, large-scale undertakings
• Logical problem-solving, outstanding communication, and writing abilities
• Familiarity with Python and Go is nice to have
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
