Tube Investments of India - Global Procurement Manager (10-12 yrs)

Job Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Procurement and Purchasing Specialist to join our dynamic team.

This critical role combines strategic procurement responsibilities with tactical purchasing activities, ensuring seamless acquisition of materials and services in alignment with our company's objectives for prototype and mass production projects.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of supply chain management within the semiconductor industry, exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams.

Primary Responsibilities :

Strategic Procurement :

- Drive competitive pricing from our suppliers using RFP and RFQ activities soliciting bids from multiple suppliers, market research, cost modeling and exploration of consortium buying.

- Manage relationships with foundries, OSAT providers and other suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of materials.

- Lead supplier risk management strategy diverse supplier pool and contingency planning for supply chain disruptions.

- Supplier performance management, evaluating suppliers using scorecard system with KPIs such as price, quality, delivery, and service.

- Drive continuous improvement activities identifying cost saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.

- Resolve issues related to delivery and quality.

- Implement best practices for supply chain optimization such as Just-In-Time (JIT) inventory management and Vendor Managed Inventory programs (VMI).

- Utilize E-Procurement systems and data analytics for transparency, reduce costs, and optimize inventory levels.

- Prioritize sustainable and ethical sourcing.

Tactical Purchasing :

- Create, process and track purchase orders based on purchase requisitions from within our organization.

- Primary contact for suppliers regarding orders status, and resolution of discrepancies of supplied goods and services.

- Collaborate with production planners, sales and marketing to forecast demand and align inventory with business goals.

- Manage procurement budgets and provide financial forecasting.

Continuous Improvement :

- Analyze procurement costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.

- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in supply chain management and semiconductor manufacturing.

- Implement process improvement initiatives to optimize procurement and purchasing activities.

Reporting:

- Procurement and production planning status and KPIs via regular reports.

Experience:

- 10+ years of procurement, supplier management experience within the semiconductor industry.

- Certification in supply chain management (APICS CSCP, ISM CPSM) is a plus.

- Proven experience with fabless semiconductor operations including working with foundries and OSAT providers.

- Strong understanding of ERP and MRP systems, with hands on experience using these tools for supply chain management and planning.

- Experience with JIT and VMI and other supply chain optimization techniques.

Skills:

- Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to manage supplier relationships.

- Familiar with quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify the underlying trends from the data, gain insights and devise solutions.

Travel:

- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
