Lab Technician

a)    Perform sterility check for working surfaces and equipment in the department.

b)    Receiving samples, verifying and entering the details into sample acceptance register.

c)    Preparing samples for investigations.

d)    Perform investigations in the department as per standard operating procedure.

e)    Do result entry in LIMS software and save the test results.

f)    Responsible for quality results by running Quality controls, verifying equipment function through routine equipment maintenance.

g)    Responsible for preparing and recording QC data.

h)    Responsible for EQAS sample process and result analysis.

i)    Responsible for ILC sample send and data collection.

j)    Recording, analysing and interpreting results from investigations.

k)    Identifies and communicates abnormal investigation results by alerting supervisory personnel.

l)    Maintaining, calibrating, cleaning and testing sterility of the equipment.

m)    Verifying equipment function through routine equipment maintenance.

n)    Providing technical support to other members of the team.

o)    Keeping up to date with relevant scientific and technical developments

p)    Recording stock receipts to stores & departments into LIMS software.

q)    Recording & maintaining daily consumption, and sharing the same with Material Management department.

r)    Serves as a technical resource by participating in staff training.

s)    Coordinating with Customer Service department in resolving customer queries.

t)    Takes responsibility in implementing Quality policies and maintaining all quality records.

u)    Ensuring waste segregation as per the Bio Medical Waste norms.

v)    Raising indents and maintenance of stock in the department.

w)    Contributes to a safe and secure environment for visitors, and co-workers.

x)    Maintains patient confidence by keeping laboratory information confidential.

y)    Any other inter-department / intra-department activities as assigned.
