Embedded Engineer - Firmware Development (7-10 yrs)

About the Job :

Responsibilities include :

- Contribute to requirement gathering, specification creation and design as required.

- Contribute to project planning by providing input on estimates and detailing dependencies.

- Complete the development of new functionality and modifications to existing functionality on/with embedded devices according to project requirements and plan.

- Integrate embedded software with electronic hardware.

- Debug and Test on hardware platform using electronic analysis and debug tooling.

- Optimize software for operation on embedded hardware resources and performance.

- Review schematics from hardware team when required and provide timely feedback for change or enhancements to facilitate improved performance and resource utilization from the system.

- Complete software documentation, ensuring it is in accordance with good coding practices.

- Work closely with Security Architect to ensure all firmware design proposals are compliant with relevant security standards and documented appropriately to facilitate product certifications in a timely, risk-free manner.

- Contribute to supporting leadership around development process and technology selection - participate in development of company standards (standardized coding style, VCS structure & workflows, build systems etc.

- Work on peripherals such as Bluetooth, NFC, LCD Driving, OLED, and USB

Qualifications and Experience Required :

- B.Tech or M.Tech or a related field from a reputed institution.

- Minimum 7 years of experience in embedded engineering or a similar role.

- At least 4 years of experience in embedded firmware development (experience with HAL layer preferred).

- Strong understanding of software development for embedded systems.

- Experience with peripherals including Bluetooth, NFC, LCD, OLED, and USB.

- Minimum 2 years of experience with project management in embedded systems.

Preferred Experience :

- Prior experience in R&D or engineering roles within software-focused embedded system companies.

- Experience working in IoT startups or embedded design service companies.

- Exposure to automotive, defense, or medical device software development.

- Familiarity with electronic product development, OEM/ODM collaboration, and supply chain management
