TrueFan - Quality Assurance Engineer - Manual Testing (2-6 yrs)

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Manual QA Engineer to join our team and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products. In this role, you will play a key part in the QA lifecycle by designing test cases, executing manual testing, and identifying areas of improvement to ensure product functionality and reliability. Your attention to detail and deep understanding of QA processes will help us maintain excellence in our deliverables.

Key Responsibilities :

Test Planning & Design :

- Analyze business and technical requirements to design comprehensive test plans and test cases.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify acceptance criteria and test scenarios.

Manual Testing Execution :

- Conduct functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across web, mobile, and desktop applications.

- Validate features against requirements and ensure accurate bug tracking and reporting.

Defect Management :

- Document, prioritize, and track defects in collaboration with developers.

- Participate in defect triage meetings and ensure timely resolution.

Quality Advocacy :

- Serve as a quality champion, promoting QA best practices and process improvements.

- Assist in improving workflows for faster, more effective testing.

Collaboration & Communication :

- Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure quality alignment.

- Provide mentorship to junior QA engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Documentation & Reporting :

- Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, results, and quality metrics.

- Present testing progress and results to stakeholders in clear and concise reports.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

- 3+ years of experience in manual QA testing, preferably in agile environments.

- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

- Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.

- Hands on experience on API Testing and knowledge of Java.

- Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).

- Familiarity with API testing (e.g., Postman) and database testing (SQL).

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with automation tools and scripting is a plus.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).

- Exposure to performance or security testing is advantageous.

- ISTQB or similar QA certification is a bonus.
