Senior Quality Assurance Engineer - Automation & Manual Testing (6-10 yrs)

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation testing, with the flexibility and expertise to perform manual testing. This role involves ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products, driving testing strategies, and mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities :

Automation Testing :

- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, .

- Create and manage automated test frameworks for web, mobile, and API testing.

- Identify automation opportunities in the testing process to optimize test coverage.

Manual Testing :

- Perform comprehensive manual testing when automation is not feasible, including exploratory, functional, andregression testing.

- Identify and report software defects with clear documentation and steps to reproduce.

Test Planning & Execution :

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test plans, strategies, and schedules.

- Ensure thorough test coverage by analyzing requirements, specifications, and use cases.

- Execute test cases across various stages of the SDLC (e.g., unit, integration, system)

Defect Management :

- Log, track, and verify defects in a bug-tracking tool (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).

- Work closely with developers to resolve defects and retest fixes.

Performance & Load Testing :

- Conduct performance testing to evaluate the application's responsiveness and scalability.

- Use tools like JMeter or LoadRunner for performance benchmarking.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 6+ years of experience in QA, with a focus on both automation and manual testing.

- Proficiency in test automation tools like Selenium, Appium, TestNG, or similar.

- Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI, or RestAssured.

- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).

- Expertise in defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).

- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
