Credit Manager

Job Purpose

This role is responsible for implementing credit policy while ensuring adherence to predefined SLAs in the assigned area.

Key Responsibilities

Managerial Responsibilities

• Conduct frequent team reviews and provide feedback to ensure compliance with policy

• Ensure staffing of the team; provide necessary training to the team on credit policy & organization standards

• Ensure compliance with all process standards as per the organizations credit policy and ensure good audit ratings consequently

• Gather, compile and provide competition information, market dynamics, field process lapses and take corrective actions, if any

Functional

Responsibilities

• Oversee junior underwriters on large-ticket size loans and policy deviation for the assigned product categories; ensure adherence to credit policy

• Ensure that all new credit lines (asset products) meet laid down credit policy guidelines on documentation and eligibility

• Ensure sanction of loan within TAT and liaison with sales to ensure quality sourcing and completeness of files

• Identify vendor team and provide necessary training to deliver as per SLA agreed upon

• Responsible for collection of first EMI; PDD follow up & trigger implementation

• Implement strategies to minimize delinquencies and the amount of write-off loss to the firm for its various products

• Ensure ISO compliance and other process adherences

Job Requirements

Qualifications

CA/MBA

Experience

5+ years in a Bank/NBFC.

Functional Competencies

• Experience of 5 years in Credit Underwriting/Credit Monitoring/MIS/Data analysis. Should have experience in handling working capital products including Channel Finance/Supply Chain Finance and Term Loans.
• Candidate should have good IT skills and conversant with working extensively on Excel and Power Point presentations.
• Experience in handling automation of Credit underwriting/Credit monitoring/EWS activities will be an added advantage.
• Should have experience of handling secured and unsecured lending products with a ticket size of Rs.50 lacs and above.
• Exposure to credit underwriting of borrowers in diverse industry sectors for Working Capital loans will be preferable
