Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Production Support Engineer to maintain, optimize, and support our data warehousing systems. This role will focus on ensuring data integrity, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide timely solutions. The ideal candidate will bring strong SQL, ETL, and troubleshooting expertise, alongside experience with data warehousing concepts and tools.
Experience: 3 to 5 years
Key Responsibilities:
Provide daily support with a resolution of escalated tickets and act as a liaison to business and technical leads to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.
Providing a high level of service to our customers and adhering to our strict SLAs for response and restoration times.
Troubleshoot SQL Server Agent job and SSIS package failures, identifying root causes and defined corrective solutions and implement those actions.
Maintain and fix ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and resolve performance bottlenecks within SSIS packages.
Manage SSIS package deployments and version control across environments.
Perform data catch-up loads to recover missed data or after job failures, ensuring data consistency across systems.
Optimize SQL Server and SSIS job performance by adjusting configurations and indexing strategies.
Administration of multiple instances of Microsoft SQL Server which includes backup management, hardware monitoring and creation of custom SQL views and procedures.
Thorough knowledge of and ability to use MS SQL Server database utilities and management tools.
Document root causes, resolution steps, and lessons learned for each failure incident.
Serve as the primary escalation point for complex job failures and high-priority incidents, coordinating with senior engineers as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
3+ years of experience in data warehousing, ETL development, or related roles.
Strong understanding in Advance SQL Programming fundamentals with data manipulation with 3-5 Year experience.
Proven experience with SQL, SSIS, SSRS and RDBMS platforms.
Strong Understanding Data warehousing principles.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze data patterns.
Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
Detail-oriented, with excellent data analytical and documentation skills.
Familiarity with data analysis tools like Excel.
Preferred Skills:
Practical experience of SQL Server, SSRS and SSIS.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent customer service skills.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Flexibility - responsibilities may require occasional weekend work.
Awareness of basic banking products and services like loans, deposits, credit cards, etc.
Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel.
