Hostel Warden (Residential School)

Position: Hostel Warden

• Ensure a safe, comfortable, and disciplined environment in the hostel.
• Maintain hostel rules and enforce discipline among students.
• Act as a mentor and provide emotional and moral support to students.
• Address students grievances and foster a positive living atmosphere.
• Encourage good habits, cleanliness, and personal hygiene.
• Supervise daily hostel operations, including cleanliness, hygiene, and facilities.
• Maintain student records, including attendance, leave, and health updates.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure the hostel is well-maintained.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, security, and maintenance staff for smooth operations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between students, parents, and school authorities.
• Inform parents about students’ well-being, discipline, and academic progress when required.
• Organize hostel activities, cultural programs, and recreational events.
• Conduct regular meetings with students to address their concerns.
• Implement hostel safety policies and ensure fire safety and emergency protocols.
• Monitor and control visitor entry and ensure students' security at all times.
• Handle emergency situations like medical issues or conflicts among students.
• Oversee the quality of food, hygiene, and nutrition in the hostel mess.
• Ensure students receive timely medical attention when needed.
• Coordinate with the school infirmary or doctor for students' health concerns.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Bachelor's degree (Preferred: Social Work, Psychology, Education, or Management).
• Experience: Prior experience in hostel management or student welfare is an advantage.
• Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Traits: Patient, approachable, and firm in enforcing discipline.
• Residential Requirement: The warden must reside within the school hostel.
• Work Hours: On-call 24/7, with designated rest hours.
