Hostel Warden - Male

Job Overview: Hostel wardens are responsible for the administration of hostels and messes, and for the health, safety, and general wellbeing of students.

Role & responsibilities:

1. Room allocation: Assigning hostel and guest rooms, and supervising them
2. Discipline: Managing discipline in the hostel, and taking disciplinary action for unauthorized guests
3. Health and hygiene: Ensuring the health, hygiene, and sanitation of the hostel, and attending to matters of diet and cleanliness
4. Emergency response: Managing the response to incidents and emergencies, and liaising with other wardens and support services
5. Admission: Assisting with the admission process for new students
6. Social contact: Establishing and maintaining social contact with students
7. Policies and rules: Formulating and implementing policies and rules for the hostel
8. Room inventories: Maintaining room inventories for each room
9. Guest room charges: Collecting and depositing guest room charges, and issuing receipts
10. Complaints: Reporting and pursuing complaints relating to repairs and replacements
11. Daily routine: Ensuring students report for activities and get up and sleep on time
12. Security: Ensuring students do not sneak out of the dormitories, and carrying out rounds even after the lights are off.

Preferred candidate profile:

1. Previous experience as a hostel warden or similar role in a residential setting
2. Experience working with students of different ages and backgrounds
3. Proven ability to maintain a clean and well-organized living space
4. Familiarity with student welfare policies and procedures
5. Army retired persons(male) are preferred
