Job Description
- Conduct market research to uncover trends in Fintech (e.g., payments, digital lending, AI-powered risk management, compliance automation) and food processing manufacturing (e.g., automation, IoT integration, supply chain optimization, cold chain logistics).
- Analyze primary and secondary data to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and meetups to stay informed about emerging technologies, regulatory frameworks, and market demands.
- Partner with incubators, accelerators, and sourcing networks (e.g., Fintech hubs, industry alliances, food processing associations) to identify startups aligned with TRD Studios investment thesis.
- Evaluate startup solutions with a focus on scalability, innovation, and compliance.
- Collaborate with Sectoral Curators to shape fund roadmaps and align sourcing strategies.
- Conduct investment analysis to evaluate product innovation, market potential, and competitive landscapes.
- Prepare and present comprehensive Investment Memos (IM) for approval by the Investment Committee.
- Support due diligence across financial, technical, and regulatory aspects.
- Work closely with portfolio founders in Fintech and food processing manufacturing to implement business and Go-to-Market (GTM) plans.
- Monitor key financial and operational performance metrics, leveraging benchmarks to drive growth.
- Create materials to showcase portfolio significance to investors, partners, and clients.
- Facilitate partnerships with technology providers, regulatory bodies, and supply chain players to enable scaling.
- Conduct sell-side research to identify potential white spaces and exit opportunities.
- Develop strategies to prepare portfolio companies for acquisition or IPO readiness.
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate M&A teams, private equity players, and institutional investors.
- Publish insights and trends on Fintech innovations and advancements in food processing manufacturing.
- Contribute to intellectual capital creation through thought leadership initiatives.
- Engage with the community to build a robust ecosystem of stakeholders and collaborators.
- Gain hands-on experience in the Fintech and food processing manufacturing sectors within a leading venture capital framework.
- Access TRD Studios extensive network of founders, investors, and industry experts.
- Develop expertise in early-stage investments, operational scaling, and exit strategies.
- Participate in co-investment opportunities and explore equity-sharing models with TRD portfolio companies.
- Work in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment that values collaboration and innovation.
We are looking for candidates who:
- Educational Background : Hold a degree in Finance, Business, Food Technology, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or related fields.
- Relevant Experience : 0-3 years of experience in Fintech, food processing, manufacturing, supply chain, or adjacent sectors.
- Financial Acumen : Strong understanding of financial analysis, market sizing, and investment frameworks.
- Entrepreneurial Spirit : Self-starters with a passion for innovation and scaling early-stage ventures.
- Tech-Savvy Problem-Solvers : Familiarity with automation, IoT, digital payment systems, and emerging supply chain technologies.
- Multi-Tasking Abilities : Proven experience in managing multiple priorities and delivering under pressure.
- Collaborative Mindset : Able to work effectively in team settings while contributing cross-functional value.
