Job Description
1. Buy-Side Sectoral Research & Market Insights
- Conduct in-depth research to uncover trends in Gaming, eSports, MediaTech, and immersive VFX industries.
- Represent TRD Studios at key events such as IGDC and Gamicon , analyzing patterns and fostering partnerships.
- Identify innovations in areas like gaming economies, fan engagement technologies, immersive media, and virtual production pipelines.
- Partner with incubators, accelerators, and sourcing networks like ISB, STPI, and Aavishkar to identify startups aligned with TRD s investment thesis.
- Filter, screen, and evaluate startup solutions with a focus on innovation, scalability, and market impact.
- Collaborate with Sectoral Curators to shape the investment roadmap and sourcing strategy.
- Analyze startups for product innovation, market opportunity, scalability, and competitive landscape.
- Prepare comprehensive Investment Memos (IM) for the Investment Committee, ensuring all aspects are covered.
- Support the due diligence process, including financial, technical, and legal evaluations.
- Work closely with portfolio founders to develop actionable business plans, including Go-to-Market (GTM) strategies.
- Monitor performance metrics, benchmark valuations, and engage with stakeholders to drive growth.
- Create compelling outreach materials to highlight portfolio company milestones and potential to clients and investors.
- Lead sell-side research to identify exit opportunities, leveraging gaps and potential white spaces in the market.
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate M&A teams, private equity players, and institutional investors.
- Develop strategies for portfolio companies to achieve acquisition or IPO readiness.
- Publish insights on Gaming, VFX, and MediaTech trends, fostering community engagement.
- Contribute to the development of new intellectual property, assets, and points of view to elevate TRD s profile.
- Gain direct exposure to Gaming, VFX, and MediaTech ecosystems within a leading venture capital framework.
- Access TRD Studios global network of founders, investors, and curators.
- Develop hands-on expertise in early-stage investments while receiving structured mentorship.
- Co-invest in promising startups and gain equity-sharing opportunities in TRD s portfolio companies.
- Thrive in a dynamic, multidisciplinary, and high-growth environment that values creativity and innovation.
We are seeking candidates who are:
- Passionate about Gaming, Media, and VFX : A degree in MediaTech, Gaming, Animation, or related fields is preferred.
- Experienced : 0-3 years in TMT, VFX, Game Studios, Media, OTTs, or adjacent industries.
- Financially Literate : Strong understanding of financial statements and investment analysis.
- Entrepreneurial : A self-starter with the ambition to take initiatives and create impact.
- Dynamic Problem-Solvers : Skilled in multitasking, prioritization, and stakeholder collaboration.
- Curious and Driven : Eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced startup ecosystem.
