Job Description:
The Advisor, Email Protection Analysis candidate will perform daily tasks relating to email protection.

This role requires a working knowledge of current and emerging security threats, email protection, industry trends, counter measures, and best practices, as well as the ability to effectively communicate this knowledge to a non-technical audience as part of the Email Protection Analysis program of TransUnion. This role is also responsible for assisting with implementing email protection strategies for the organization as a whole in accordance with defined strategies and objectives.
Core Duties / Responsibilities:
Provide support for the established goals of the Email Protection Analysis program
Conduct assessments and investigations to identify and evaluate email threats
Develop and distribute remediation techniques and guidance for email threats
Aid in implementing innovative solutions, modifications, and enhancements to the Email Protection Analysis program based upon current cybersecurity threats and trends
Analyze email threats to TransUnion and advise on protection strategies
Conduct hunts for undetected malicious email activity within the environment
Utilize email honeypots
Develop and implement custom email protections as necessary
Produce regular reporting on observed email trends and correlating defensive measures
Consult and partner with corporate communications, technical, business, and security teams as applicable
Coordinate or perform administrative functions as necessary to perform email protection tasks Requirements / Skills / Qualifications: Advanced email analysis experience including phishing, malware, business email compromise, and impersonation Three or more years of work experience in a related field such as cybersecurity, information security, computer science, or email administration Advanced knowledge of email protection and authentication protocols and mechanisms Experience monitoring the cyber security threat landscape Ability to navigate diverse perspectives and promote an inclusive and collaborative environment Ability to work with technical subject matter experts and apply protective measures in a corporate environment Desire to learn and grow email security knowledge and skills Core technologies required oStrong understanding of the threat landscapeoStrong understanding of email protection techniques and implementation Core soft skills requiredoOutstanding interpersonal skillsoExcellent oral and written communication skillsoAbility to self-direct and manage work queue Previous experienceoEmail protection development and implementationoThreat Intelligence analysis, production, and disseminationoEmail analysis in a cybersecurity role EducationoCybersecurity, information technology or similar degree or certification(s) preferredWe d Love to See: Preferred technologies oDomain monitoring/brand protection experienceoEmail administration experience Preferred soft skills oOutstanding communication skills Preferred years of or previous experience oMinimum of 5 years serving in a technical cybersecurity or email administration roleoPrior experience in an email focused cybersecurity role within Financial Services Preferred education (if applicable)oSecurity+oNetwork+ Additional Job Description: As a member of the Threat Awareness & Email Protection program, you will play a key role in strengthening TU s defensive capabilities and improving the company s security posture.
