Substation Design Engineer-CIvil

Role & responsibilities

• Prepare design documents and technical reports.
• Review and provide feedback on detailed engineering drawings.
• Submit structural drawings and design documents to clients for approval.
• Coordinate with site teams and clients to ensure the design and drawings meet all requirements.
• Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and materials based on previous projects.
• Prepare the Design Basis Report for client approval regarding the Scope of Work (SOW).
• Liaise with clients for drawing approval and clarification.
• Coordinate with the site team to address drawing clarifications.

Preferred candidate profile

• Proficient in performing analysis and design of structural and civil elements for GIS substation buildings, transformer foundations, outdoor equipment foundations, guard houses, staff quarters, roads, drainage, outdoor steel structures, and miscellaneous substation works.
• Able to review vendor engineering documents for Civil & Structural design.
• Knowledgeable in designing switchyard gantry towers, equipment-supporting structures, and
  foundations

Minimum Qualifications:

B. Tech in Civil Engineering or M. Tech in Structural Engineering

Experience:

• 8 -20 years of experience, preferably in Substation Switchyards, Power Transmission.
