Job Description

About You

As the Head of Information Security , you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining an information security strategy that ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data, systems, and networks. You will work closely with leadership teams, engineering, legal, and compliance departments to ensure best practices for cybersecurity and regulatory compliance are followed.

You will be a key leader in shaping the company s security posture, safeguarding customer and business data, mitigating potential threats, and ensuring business continuity.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy :

Develop and execute the company s information security strategy, aligning with business objectives and risk management goals.
Lead a team of information security professionals, driving performance, mentorship, and development.
Establish a security governance framework, ensuring appropriate policies, processes, and standards are in place.
Work closely with executive leadership to provide insights on emerging threats and security needs.

Security Architecture & Risk Management :

Oversee the design and implementation of robust security architecture across cloud infrastructure, applications, APIs and data.
Develop and implement comprehensive shift left security strategy
Manage risk assessments and vulnerability management programs, identifying threats and defining mitigation strategies.

Compliance & Regulatory Oversight :

Work with legal and compliance teams to ensure data privacy and security policies align with applicable laws and regulations.
Prepare for and support external audits and assessments.

Incident Response & Monitoring :

Lead the development of an incident response plan, ensuring the team is prepared for and able to respond effectively to security breaches or threats.
Oversee continuous monitoring of security events and vulnerabilities, driving the improvement of detection and response capabilities.
Manage a security incident response team, ensuring appropriate triage, communication, and resolution of security incidents.

Security Awareness & Training :

Develop and execute a company-wide security awareness program to educate employees on best practices and evolving security threats.
Conduct training and simulations to ensure readiness for security incidents and compliance requirements.

Key Requirements

Experience :

10+ years of experience in information security, including 3+ years in a leadership or head of security role, preferably within a modern SaaS or cloud-based environment.
Proven experience building and leading high-performing information security teams.
In-depth knowledge of cloud security, application security, OWASP standards, shift left security and risk management.

Technical Skills :

Strong understanding of cloud security models, application security, Kubernetes security, encryption, authentication, and network security.
Experience with vulnerability management, security monitoring, SIEM tools, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP, endpoint protection, etc.
Familiarity with common SaaS technologies and platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, etc.)
Strong experience with cloud native technologies (AWS/GCP, microservices Containers, Kubernetes etc) at scale
Strong Scripting skills (e.g., Perl, Python shell scripting)

Soft Skills :

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, growing environment and distributed teams.

Nice to have :

Background in data privacy laws, compliance and experience with GDPR, CCPA, and other data protection regulations.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, or equivalent) are preferred.
Additional certifications in cloud security or SaaS-specific security (e.g., AWS Certified Security Specialty) are a plus
