Job Description:

The Admissions Manager at International Intermediate Academy (IIA) plays a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the student recruitment and admissions process for prospective students. This includes driving enrollment, managing applicant inquiries, evaluating applications, and fostering positive relationships with potential students and their families. The Admissions Manager ensures that the admissions processes reflect the institution's commitment to academic excellence, diversity, and a welcoming environment for international students.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Admissions Strategy & Leadership:
    • Develop and implement effective admissions strategies to attract a diverse and academically qualified international student body.
    • Lead the admissions team in achieving enrollment targets and maintaining high standards of efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Supervise and provide training and guidance to the admissions staff, ensuring the team is equipped with the necessary skills and resources.
    • Collaborate with the senior leadership team to align admissions goals with the Academys overall mission and vision.
  2. Application Processing & Review:
    • Oversee the entire admissions process, ensuring timely and accurate review of applications and supporting documents from international students.
    • Lead the evaluation of academic records, standardized test scores, and other relevant criteria for admission decisions.
    • Provide personalized support to applicants, guiding them through the documentation requirements, application submission, and interview process.
  3. Customer Service & Communication:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for international students and their families, answering inquiries about the Academy, the application process, and student life.
    • Maintain clear, consistent, and professional communication with applicants through email, phone calls, and other platforms.
    • Develop and manage the admissions section of the Academy’s website and social media platforms, ensuring up-to-date, engaging content for prospective students.
  4. Enrollment Data Management & Reporting:
    • Maintain and manage an accurate database of all applicants, ensuring that all information is correctly inputted into the admissions software system.
    • Prepare regular reports for senior leadership on admissions trends, demographics, conversion rates, and enrollment projections.
    • Analyze applicant data to identify areas for improvement in the admissions process and recommend strategies for better recruitment outcomes.
  5. Collaboration with Internal Departments:
    • Work closely with departments such as Student Services, Academic Affairs, and Financial Aid to ensure seamless support for international students throughout the admissions and enrollment process.
    • Coordinate with faculty and staff to facilitate virtual and in-person events such as interviews, orientation, and campus tours.
  6. Compliance & Best Practices:
    • Ensure adherence to all relevant legal and regulatory requirements concerning international student admissions, including immigration and visa regulations.
    • Stay informed about the latest trends in international student recruitment and higher education policies.
    • Uphold the Academy’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all admissions-related activities.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, International Relations, Business, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in admissions, student recruitment, or higher education, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
    • Experience working with international students and knowledge of immigration processes is highly desirable.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with a diverse international audience.
    • Proficiency in using admissions software, CRM systems, and MS Office Suite.
    • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
    • In-depth knowledge of international education systems, cultural sensitivity, and challenges faced by international students.
