Job Description


Job Overview:

Company is seeking an experienced and dynamic Store Manager to lead our retail store operations. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, exceptional and innovative abilities, able to handle the budget by maintaining quality of the inventory, have the ability to negotiate and procure the suitable product, must have a vision of buying materials which will be plus for organization and a passion for achieving customer satisfaction targets. As the Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of store management, including sales, material management, budget control, operations, staff development, inventory control, customer satisfaction, and visual merchandising.

Education-

  • A degree in Business Management, Retail, or related field
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft tools ( Excel, words)
  • IDS knowledge is a plus

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Store Manager, Assistant Manager, or in a similar management role.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
  • Ability to drive sales and meet targets in a competitive environment.
  • Good understanding of inventory management and financial reporting.
  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on satisfaction and retention.
  • Proficiency in using retail software, point-of-sale systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Team Management:
    • Supervise and motivate a team of sales associates, cashiers, and other store staff.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure staff development.
    • Create and maintain a positive, inclusive, and customer-focused work environment.
    • Schedule and manage staffing to meet the stores needs and ensure excellent customer service at all times.
    • Resolve employee conflicts and performance issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Customer Service:
    • Analyze sales trends and customer feedback to improve store performance.
    • Promote a high level of customer service by ensuring all employees adhere to company service standards.
    • Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner, maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Operations and Inventory Management:
    • Oversee daily store operations, ensuring all procedures are followed to maintain a high level of efficiency.
    • Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and organizing products.
    • Ensure the store is well-stocked, clean, and organized, with proper visual merchandising standards.
    • Conduct regular stock audits and ensure accurate inventory records.
    • Ensure the store complies with health, safety, and legal regulations.
  • Financial Management:
    • Monitor and control expenses, including labor costs, shrinkage, and product wastage.
    • Prepare and manage budgets, ensuring store profitability.
    • Handle cash management, including registers, balancing, and reporting of sales.
    • Ensure proper cash flow management and secure transactions.
  • Visual Merchandising and Store Presentation:
    • Ensure the stores layout and visual displays are in line with company guidelines and current trends.
    • Oversee product placement to maximize sales and enhance the customer shopping experience.
    • Maintain a clean and appealing store environment.
  • Marketing and Promotions:
    • Implement store-level promotions and marketing initiatives in line with company strategies.
    • Collaborate with regional or district managers to execute national marketing campaigns.
    • Encourage staff to promote loyalty programs and up sell products to customers.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to [X] lbs.
  • Ability to move around the store and assist customers when necessary.
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
