Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced API automation Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and have a passion for ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.

API Testing :

- Conduct thorough testing of APIs to ensure functionality, reliability, performance, and security.

- Design and execute API test cases, including automated tests, to validate API endpoints and integration points.

Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) with Cucumber :

- Implement and maintain BDD frameworks using Cucumber.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to write clear and concise testing scenarios in Gherkin language.

Writing Testing Scenarios :

- Develop comprehensive testing scenarios that cover all aspects of the application's functionality.

- Ensure that all edge cases and potential failure points are addressed in the test scenarios.

Python Scripting :

- Utilize Python for test automation, scripting, and validation of test results.

- Maintain and enhance existing Python-based test frameworks and scripts.

Programming Skills :

- Apply strong programming skills to create, maintain, and improve test automation scripts and tools.

- Debug and troubleshoot issues in test scripts and application code.

Qualifications :

- Proven experience in API testing, including both manual and automated testing.

- Proficient in Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) with Cucumber.

- Strong experience in writing and executing testing scenarios.

- Solid experience with Python for scripting and automation.

- Excellent programming skills with a focus on quality and performance.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Good communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with team members.

Preferred Skills :

- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

- Experience with other testing frameworks and tools.

- Knowledge of other programming languages and technologies is a plus.
