Manager

Objective:

Lead the mechanical design and development of low-voltage switches (modular switches, isolators, push-button switches, etc.).

Ensure innovative, high-quality mechanical designs that align with market demands, compliance standards, and manufacturability.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and manage mechanical design concepts for switches, ensuring functionality, durability, and manufacturability.

• Collaborate with the R&D team to prototype and test switch components for mechanical performance and reliability.

• Conduct design reviews to assess feasibility, costs, and risks during product development.

• Ensure compliance with BIS, RoHS, CE, IEC, and other relevant certifications.

• Partner with Industrial Design agencies and external teams for design optimization.

• Work closely with the Sales & Marketing teams to incorporate customer feedback into mechanical designs.

• Utilize advanced materials and manufacturing techniques to enhance product performance and cost efficiency.

• Collaborate with production teams to ensure manufacturability, ease of assembly, and process efficiency.

• Manage and prioritize multiple mechanical design projects within strict timelines and budgets.

Experience and

Qualification:

• 10+ years of experience in designing and developing the mechanical aspects of switches (modular switches, isolators, push-button switches, etc.).

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

• Strong proficiency in mechanical design tools like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo, or similar software.

• Experience with plastic and metal components, tooling, and injection molding processes.

• Knowledge of lifecycle management and new product introduction (NPI) in mechanical design.
