Role & responsibilities

• Coordinate with the department heads, Doctors, and Section Supervisors of all departments in operational matters to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Mentor and support direct reports in their responsibilities and functions. Identify and implement training programs as necessary to ensure they receive training in supervisory skill development.
• To collaborate with and/or serve as a liaison to agencies, administrators, departments, and/or stakeholders.
• Responsible for overseeing the safety and security of laboratory facilities by implementing current and updated policies and procedures related to Laboratory Safety.
• To ensure maintenance of proper records of all equipment including office equipment and to maintain proper records of its movement and ensure effective utilization of the instruments/equipment.
• To resolve queries, and issues raised/being faced by Lab- In charge of satellite laboratories in terms of sending out samples or any technical queries and coordinate with respective section heads of the NRL for its resolution.
• To ensure prompt resolution of queries and complaints with proper records and highlighting serious issues to the reporting authority.
• Review test performance, drive process improvements, and project management. Prepare and submit required reports to meet established deadlines.
• Manage test database. Ensure departmental standard operating procedures and databases accurately reflect the current process.
• To Coordinate with the marketing department for Sales training for technical products and support marketing activities
• To provide referenced scientific and technical inputs on content prepared by the Marketing department and write scientific content on various tests/techniques/technologies as required.
• Define, coordinate, and monitor EHS programs and supervise activities of the Department Safety Coordinator. Ensure EHS regulatory standards and safety procedures are followed. Oversee plans and preparations for inspections.
• To ensure smooth functioning and coordination of all collection centers with the NRL lab.
• To resolve any complaint raised by the client/patient/doctor and to ensure its closure by coordinating with respective technical heads with proper documentation.
• Monitoring of Material Consumption by keeping track of kits and consumables utilization across various departments.
• To perform other related duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position and to maintain all relevant records and documentation.
• Coordinate, and monitor quality assurance programs and supervise activities of the department Quality Coordinator/Representative. Ensure quality control and compliance procedures are followed and QC reports are up to date. Oversee plans and preparations for inspections.
• To organize and coordinate academic activities by publishing papers, and articles and organizing CME and Webinars.
• Visiting New and Existing Labs and supporting operations whenever necessary.

Preferred candidate profile

Candidates with proven experience in leading national referene labs / regional reference labs with a minimum experience of 12 years in a leadership role
