Senior Software Engineer - Amdocs Kenan (4-5 yrs)

About the Role :

We are searching for a highly skilled and experienced Amdocs Kenan Operations Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bangalore.

In this critical role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the smooth operation and efficient performance of our Amdocs Kenan billing system.

Leveraging your in-depth knowledge of Kenan modules, telecom billing processes, and DevOps practices, you will handle a range of responsibilities, including managing bill runs, resolving production issues, monitoring system health, and collaborating with development teams.

The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver with a strong work ethic and a dedication to maintaining a reliable and optimized billing environment.

Responsibilities :

Billing Operations & Revenue Assurance :

- Manage all aspects of the billing cycle, including order processing, usage processing, and invoice generation.

- Identify and resolve billing errors and discrepancies to ensure accurate revenue capture.

- Perform invoice validations and report on billing performance to stakeholders.

- Conduct thorough root cause analysis for billing incidents and publish detailed RCA reports.

- Collaborate with Amdocs R&D to address core product bugs impacting billing processes.

System Administration & Operations :

- Provide ongoing support for the Amdocs Kenan system, performing system health checks, application monitoring, and alarm handling.

- Manage environment maintenance activities, including system upgrades (e.g, EKS cluster).

- Execute sprint deployments in both TEST and PROD environments, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.

- Leverage your DevOps expertise to automate tasks and streamline operational processes.

Technical Expertise & Collaboration :

- Possess a deep understanding of Amdocs Kenan modules, including Order Management, Usage Processing, Billing & Invoicing, Payments, and Collections.

- Demonstrate strong proficiency in Oracle/PostgreSQL databases, Shell Scripting, and Python scripting languages for automation tasks.

- Work closely with development teams to troubleshoot issues, provide technical support, and collaborate on solutions.

- Maintain clear communication with stakeholders, keeping them informed of operational activities and any potential issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 4+ years of experience working as an Amdocs Kenan Operations Engineer.

- In-depth knowledge of Amdocs Kenan modules and their functionalities.

- Strong understanding of telecom billing principles and revenue assurance practices.

- Proven experience with Oracle or PostgreSQL databases.

- Proficiency in Shell Scripting and Python scripting languages.

- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Willingness to adapt to a DevOps environment and provide occasional weekend support.
