DevOps Engineer - System Reliability (4-6 yrs)

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to contribute to the technical analysis, coding, and support of back-office settlement systems within a Cash Equities Settlement domain.

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting integration applications while ensuring system reliability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain features using Pick/Basic and Universe (Multi-Valued Database Systems).

- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code in Python and create scripts for automation using Unix Shell Scripting.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to prepare technical specifications and deliver high-quality software solutions. Conduct thorough unit testing to ensure application reliability.

- Resolve support tickets promptly, prioritizing efficiency and accuracy, including handling ticket closures in bulk when necessary.

- Follow strict Separation of Duties (SoD) and break glass procedures to ensure safe operations in the production environment.

- Monitor system performance, address issues, and implement proactive measures for stability.

- Update and maintain release schedules to ensure accurate and timely tracking of changes.

- Prepare and validate change acceptance documentation prior to any functional release.

- Participate in deployments, ensuring the seamless integration of changes into production systems.

- Be available for scheduled weekend work and notify management in advance of any conflicts.

- Assist with integration tasks across supporting applications, ensuring alignment with the back-office settlement system.

- Work closely with functional and technical teams to ensure system enhancements meet business needs.

- Pick/Basic and Universe (Multi-Valued Database Systems) Python scripting and automation Unix Shell Scripting for system automation and task scheduling MQ (Message Queue) Geneos monitoring tools

- Basic knowledge of Java for debugging or limited coding tasks.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience in Cash Equities Settlement Systems or similar financial domains.

- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on system reliability and user support.

- Excellent communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams.

- Familiarity with modern DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

- Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools.
