Regional Demand Planner(Mumbai & Chennai)

Role & responsibilities

• Develop accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and sales input.
• Utilize advanced forecasting tools and techniques to predict future demand.
• Adjust forecasts based on changes in market conditions and customer requirements.
• Optimize inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing excess stock and obsolescence.
• Coordinate with warehouses and distribution centers to ensure timely replenishment of products.
• Monitor inventory performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure efficient distribution of products across the region.
• Develop and maintain logistics plans to support demand forecasts and inventory strategies.
• Address and resolve logistics issues to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.
• Work closely with sales, marketing, and production teams to balance supply and demand.
• Analyze sales data, market trends, and other relevant information to refine demand forecasts.
• Prepare regular reports on demand forecast accuracy, inventory performance, and logistics metrics.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve forecasting and logistics processes.
• Identify opportunities to enhance demand planning and logistics processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
• Implement best practices and leverage technology to optimize forecasting and inventory management.

Preferred candidate profile

Candidates from lubricant/FMCG sector with min 7 years of relevant experience with strong analytical skill & good at data
