Data Architect

ThoughtFocus is looking for an Overall Lead who will be responsible for leading our delivery team for one of our capital markets client operating in alternative investment strategies.

As an Overall Lead at ThoughtFocus, you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful delivery of our strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of technologists and business SMEs / Business analysts to deliver the data analytics initiatives of our strategic client.
• Should be able to define and enforce Best Practices for delivery.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the project teams.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
• Be responsible for defining and enforcing engagement KPIs.
• Define and lead the team in the Data Architecture, Data Modelling, DWH, and Data Description Platforms.
• Collaborate to ensure data architecture aligns with business objectives and technology strategy.
• Establish and enforce data governance standards and practices in close collaboration with client stakeholders.
• Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand data needs.
• Provide support and guidance to development teams on database design, data visualization design, and implementation.
• Stay updated with the latest data technologies and trends.
• Should be able to evaluate and recommend new data management tools and technologies.

Candidate Profile

• 15+ years of experience in program or project management, preferably in Capital Market
• Proficiency in Data Architecture, Data Modelling, DWH (Snowflake), Data Description Platforms (Power BI), Database Skills
• Knowledge of ETL tools and processes
• Familiarity with big data technologies
• Understanding of Azure cloud data platforms
• Experience with optimal performance, security, and availability of database systems.
• Handled projects focusing on Data quality, data integrity, and accuracy.
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Preferred experience or good understanding of alternative investments, private equity, CLOs, compliance, and regulations governing Private Equity fund accounting.
