Job Description

A "Domestic BDM" (Business Development Manager) is responsible for identifying and securing new clients within a domestic market for a company, focusing on building relationships, generating leads, and closing deals within the local area, often by understanding the specific needs and trends of the domestic market to drive business growth within that region.

Key responsibilities of a Domestic BDM:

Market research and analysis:

- Conduct in-depth research on the domestic market to identify potential clients, understand competitor landscape, and identify emerging trends.

Lead generation:

- Actively source and develop new leads through networking, cold calling, attending industry events, and utilizing local marketing strategies.

Client relationship building:

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing domestic clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.

Sales presentations and proposals:

- Prepare compelling presentations and proposals that highlight the company's value proposition to domestic clients, addressing their specific concerns.

Negotiation and deal closure:

- Negotiate contracts and pricing terms with domestic clients to secure profitable deals.

Sales pipeline management:

- Track and manage the sales pipeline for domestic leads, ensuring timely follow-up and progress towards sales targets.

Customer retention:

- Maintain ongoing relationships with existing domestic clients to foster loyalty and drive repeat business.

Market intelligence gathering:

- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to adapt sales strategies accordingly.

Collaboration with internal teams:

- Work closely with marketing, operations, and customer service teams to ensure smooth delivery of services to domestic clients.

Skills required for a Domestic BDM:
