Role Overview:
We are seeking a creative and motivated Junior Designer to join our activewear design team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for fitness, fashion, and design, with a keen eye for trends and detail. This role involves collaborating with senior designers to develop engaging and performance-oriented active wear collections.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the design and development of active wear collections, from concept to Sampling Handover.
Conduct market research to identify current trends, competitor analysis, and consumer preferences.
Create sketches, technical drawings, and detailed specifications for garments.
Collaborate with the materials and production teams to select fabrics and finishes that align with design intent.
Participate in fittings and provide constructive feedback on fit and functionality.
Prepare presentations and mood boards to communicate design ideas effectively.
Support the team in managing timelines and project deadlines.
Deeply understand /define brand and customer profiling to address the relevant market opportunities with relevant concepts
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in apparel design, preferably in active wear or sportswear.
Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD.
Strong understanding of garment construction and technical specifications.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
A portfolio showcasing relevant design work and creative projects.
Passion for fitness and an understanding of performance apparel needs.
