Role Overview:
We are seeking a creative and motivated Junior Designer to join our activewear design team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for fitness, fashion, and design, with a keen eye for trends and detail. This role involves collaborating with senior designers to develop engaging and performance-oriented active wear collections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and development of active wear collections, from concept to Sampling Handover.
- Conduct market research to identify current trends, competitor analysis, and consumer preferences.
- Create sketches, technical drawings, and detailed specifications for garments.
- Collaborate with the materials and production teams to select fabrics and finishes that align with design intent.
- Participate in fittings and provide constructive feedback on fit and functionality.
- Prepare presentations and mood boards to communicate design ideas effectively.
- Support the team in managing timelines and project deadlines.
- Deeply understand /define brand and customer profiling to address the relevant market opportunities with relevant concepts
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
- 1-2 years of experience in apparel design, preferably in active wear or sportswear.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD.
- Strong understanding of garment construction and technical specifications.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- A portfolio showcasing relevant design work and creative projects.
- Passion for fitness and an understanding of performance apparel needs.
