Safety Officer

Job Description :-

• Department: Health & Safety
• Grade :FTC (fixed term contract)
• Qualification :Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety along with BE / B.Tech / Diploma in any discipline
• Experience :4 - 5 Years

• Location :Chinchwad Factory, Pune
• Reporting to :HSE Dept. Chinchwad Factory

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (WMS, HIRA, JSA.).
2. Implement and maintaining HSE standard and emergency plan.
3. Provide training to employee & staff on various safety topic as per required by construction activity.
4. Conduct monthly safety inspection, risk assessment review implementation of corrective measures.
5. Investigation of accident and near miss & implement corrective actions.
6. Ensure compliance of Safety guideline.
7. Ready to work in shift duty.
8. Identification of observations (unsafe act, conditions) & suggest correction.
9. Knowledge of all construction activity like: Heavy erection work, Height work, Confined space, Electrical Work, Mechanical equipments etc.
10. Knowledge of hazards and control measure in mechanical equipments like: tower crane, Farana, material hoist, earth moving vehicle etc.
11. Knowledge of implantation of work permit system.
12. Develop and advise for health, safety & environmental training for all employees.
13. Working experience of ISO 45001-2018 system standard requirements.
14. Conduct Internal safety audit periodically.

Preferred candidate profile

1. Knowledge of legislation (BOCW Act & Factory Act) and procedures.
2. Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices.
3. Familiarity with safety data analysis and statistics reporting.
4. Proficient in MS Office; Working knowledge of safety management information systems.
5. Excellent communication skills to present and explain health, safety & environment topics.
6. Fixed Term Contract ( FTC )Job for 6 months to 1 year
