Proposal Engineer - Spares

Role & responsibilities

1. Proposal Creation

• Review customer enquiries and tender documents. Prepare Bid No Bid document.
• Prepare and submit techno-commercial proposals for ESP and Bag Filters spares.
• Prepare zero based costing & submit timely proposals, achieve order booking target (value and no of orders as per ABP).
• Provide accurate order booking projections, order loss analysis with improvement plan.
• Provide strategic inputs for developing ABP and SBP
• Anchor proposal & enquiry management system from lead generation to order closure
• Develop vendors & agents
• Assist business development & promotion strategy.
• Build drawings database, case studies, customer testimonials

2. Order Conversion

• Attend sales meetings for feedback and support.
• Handle LOI/PO/Contract documentation.
• Prepare order acknowledgments and internal handovers along with Pre-order Agreements.
• Analyze lost orders and identify areas for improvement.

3. Vendor Management (Non-TL)

• Identify and assess new vendors in various region for Non-TL business
• Vendor registration with the help of internal team.

4. Internal Support

• Assist process engineering and purchase teams with order execution.
• Standardize enquiry formats and costing templates for TL and Non-TL items.

Maintain a Non-TL drawing database make and model wise.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Engineering degree (BE Mechanical preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in proposal preparation or tender management.
• Knowledge of pollution control equipment (ESP, Bag Filters, FGD, Scrubbers, Cyclones) is a plus.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, ERP, PLM, and MS Office.
• Strong communication, decision-making, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a matrix organization.
• Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
• Proficient in English (written and spoken).
