Job Description

Position Name: Manager - Technology
Experience: 4 to 5 years (Minimum 4 years in Solar)

Qualification: B.E. / B. Tech - Electrical Electronics (M. Tech preferable)

Focus Area:
1. Knowledge of various energy storage technologies especially BESS
2. Knowledge on load levelling, peak shaving (Time shifting), electricity quality maintenance, grid congestion relief, an extension of facility life, emergency power source, parallel operation with photovoltaic panels output stabilization.
3. Technical evaluation of Solar PV inverters, factory audit and FAT ( string and central)
4. Technical evaluation of Solar PV modules, factor audit and FAT
5. Knowledge of relevant IEC s - 61427 / 61215 / 61730 / 61701 / 60068 / 61683 / 62109

Responsibilities:
1. Detailed techno-commercial assessment of cells, batteries and racks.
2. Detailed techno-commercial assessment of PV modules
3. Detailed techno-commercial assessment of inverters and bi-directional converters.
4. Able to independently conduct technical feasibility study of utility scale solar PV and BESS projects. Networking with manufacturers and research organizations
5. Modelling and simulation of BESS systems.
6. Design kW/MW scale battery energy storage systems (energy storage, micro grid, interconnection, communication) , including sizing the battery and battery PCS appropriate for the project;
7. Preparation of review guides, checklists and flowcharts for novel design / analysis processes.
8. Computation of BoQ for BESS and PV Systems.
9. Understand AC Coupled and DC coupled Battery Energy Storage systems;
10. Develop technical specifications and scopes of work for engineering firms and contractors.
11. Responsible for the smooth efficient working of the engineering proposal Department.

Competencies / Key Skills Required:
1. Software knowledge - PV syst, Homer, AutoCAD
2. Good in Ms office tools
3. Strong technical and analytical skills
4. Strong written and oral communication skills especially customer interactions and technical report writing skills
5. Passion for working in an open, sharing, and constructive environment where colleagues welcome opportunities to assist each other, respect others opinions while solving challenging technical problems
